About

Rajendra Kher, son of late Senior Literary B. D. Kher, Born: 3 January 1961. He worked in the film industry and had directed, written scripts and had also worked in the production department for nine years for well-known production houses like Prakash Mehra Productions, Cine Vision, Cinemen etc. He co-directed the then famous Marathi series titled 'Najuka' On 'Myboli' T.V. channel he was head director of two Programmes and directed around 70 episodes in total.

As a literary author, Rajendra Kher started his carrier in 1992. Till date there are 15 Marathi books to his credit. His books are translated in English, Gujarati, Hindi and Malayalam languages and have been published and are among the most successful literary works of recent times. Almost all his books have become popular and successive editions of his books keep coming.

- Digvijaya: 624 pages covering the entire period from the French Revolution to the end of Napoleon. A historical novel on the life of Napoleon Bonaparte. This novel published by Mehta Publishing House. 10th edition published. Many newspapers reviewed this novel as an 'ideal historical novel'.

- Deha Jhala Chandanacha: A biographical novel the life of Pandurang Shastri Athavale founder of 'Swadhyaya Parivar’.

This is a 600-page novel. So far 32 editions of this novel have been published. The novel is also a best-seller in Gujarati, English and Hindi languages. He got a large readership in the country and abroad.

- Gitambari: This unique novel based on the philosophy of Srimad Bhagavad Gita. 7th edition published in Marathi. This novel, which was accepted by many readers and critics, was published in the United States under the title The Song Of Salvation in English.

- Dhananjaya: A 650-page volume on the life of Arjuna, unraveling many hidden layers of the original Mahabharata. The classic novel was also popular. The 10th edition of this novel was also published.

- Devanchya Rajyat: 7th edition of this characteristic book published in a short period of time. In English the book published under the title Empire of the Gods.

- Bindusaravar: Mysterious, Marvellous Novel. Its inclusion in Top 5 books of 'Maharashtra Times'. Second Edition published by Mehta Publishing House. An English translation of this novel has also been published.

- Mandarya: A novel on the life of Sage Agastya - recently published by Manjul Publishing House. This novel has received overwhelming response from readers even before publication. After Marathi, this novel is going to be published in English and Hindi languages and eight other Indian languages will be published soon after.

- Udayana: The third epic of ancient India. This interesting novel on Udayan-Vasavadatta plot. Now it is published by Mehta Publishing House. Many newspapers and periodicals including 'Sakal' have written good comments about this novel. Published in English in November 2017 by Platinum Press.
